How do we send your parcel?

Freight is via  an Air Freighter / Courier Service. We either use Australian Air Express or Overseas Courier Service. It is  a Door to Door, Fully Insured Service.

How  long  does it take?

10-14 days  to your door.

In detail- After  placing your order we select  didg cover to suit  your didg. If not in stock, it is   custom made and complete within 2 days. Goods are packed and sent the following day. So within 1-4 days  from receiving order, we aim to have your  ordered goods  on the truck overnight to Sydney 6 hours  south. In Sydney it is scheduled for a   flight immediately  and then on its way. All up it can be as quick as 7-days and   only occassionally is it  beyond 2 weeks from ordered date. I for any reason there is a delay, we keep in constant communication with you and you'll always know  your orders progress.

How much does the freight cost?
Its included in the cost of the didg so no extras.

How  is the didg packaged? Is the didg well protected?

The didg, is in its  didg cover bag and then wrapped in  bubble wrap. We then enclose the padded didg in either a very strong cardboard cylinder  or in a cardboard box that is created around the didg custom to its shape; giving it added structural strength via the edges of the boxed shape.  In 4 years we have had two claims and only one claim in the last 3 years so  the insurance is more peace of mind than necessity. But that peace of mind is valuable.

Is it fully  insured and is there anything about insurance, I need to know?

The goods are fully insured   against breakage, loss, or theft.  On receipt of goods please check immmediately before signing for it, or sign, "subject to inspection". Write this as well as signing , and the same applies when  someone is receiving it on your behalf, by making sure they know  to sign as such. This protects you in in the   unfortunate case that it is broken. It is essential that after signing as such that you  then check parcel within 24 hours (preferably 8 hours)  and if it is   broken that you notify the Freighter and Heartland to this effect  and that a claim is to be made. We will then act  on your behalf .

Are there any other costs ?

 All of our costs are included in the didg price. So No extras from us at all.

The only factor  as to extra cost, which is not connected to our service, is the customs duty. In most countries  there is some duty or tax and it operates on a % . It is generally minor and in some  countries there is no cost. Its impossible for us to guesstimate as each country is different. This can catch some didg buyers by surprise so  please contact your Customs Office if you are unaware.

It is important to note that we Invoice the goods  at full list price which includes our freight cost, to best protect your goods.   If you'd like to ask us about any suggestions as to minimizing taxes on your end, please email us.

Any feedback too, post receipt of goods is also helpful. For example a client in the states suggested that if we   classify  didgs as "Other Wind Musical Instruments" rather than "Wood Articles" then a free tariff may apply.

Do you take  credit cards? Which credit cards can you take?

Yes we take Visa, Mastercard and Bankcard

Can I pay by bank transfer,   or cashiers cheque?

You can pay via a  Bank Transfer,  however the cost from your  end  is generally high  and it takes 7-21 days to hit Heartlands a/c whereas  credit card is immediate. Cashiers Cheque may seem simple however unfortunately once we receive the cheque after 7- 14 days in the mail, my bank has to send it back before the funds can be cleared, before its sent   back through. The process generally takes 3-4 weeks. Therfore we highly recomend paying  via credit card.


What is the  most cost effective way of paying for the goods?

Credit Card- No cost to you.

Cashiers cheque incurs the cost of having  the cheque raised  plus  mailing costs however as it takes  3-4 weeks and with greater chance of unknown delays (one took  8 weeks  because of problems) it definately comes with a time cost.

Bank Telegraphic Transfers can cost up to $40 on your end depending upon the bank plus a $12 fee on our end. Takes 7-21 days for funds transfer.
